Eight questions to ask about your current IT provider.

If you answer "no" or "not sure" to three or more of these, it is time to talk to us.

1
Are tickets resolved on first response?

Or do issues bounce around for days, with each engineer asking the same questions?

2
Is your Microsoft 365 tenant properly secured?

Conditional Access, MFA on every account, no ex-staff still licensed, Defender deployed, backups in place?

3
Do you have tested backups?

When was the last time your provider ran a restore test? If you don't know, the answer is "no".

4
Are you aligned to the ACSC Essential 8?

If insurance underwriters or enterprise clients ask, can you answer with evidence — not promises?

5
Is your security ready for 1 July 2026?

Privacy Act amendments and AML/CTF Tranche 2 commence then. Mandatory MFA Phase 2 in Entra ID kicks in too. Is anyone on top of it?

6
Do you get a monthly account review?

Not a ticket count — a real conversation about what is working, what is not, and what is coming up.

7
Is the pricing transparent?

Per-user, ex-GST, in writing. Or is it a moving target with surprise project fees?

8
Are you talking to Australians?

Or is the helpdesk routed to an offshore call centre at 6pm Sydney time?

Side-by-side: what good IT looks like.

An honest comparison. We are not the right fit for everyone — but if your provider does not deliver this, we should talk.

Common questions about switching.

How do I switch IT providers without disrupting our business?
AyeTech runs a structured 3-week onboarding designed to switch with zero downtime. Week 1 is documentation and discovery — we map your environment, users, licences, contracts and any work in flight. Week 2 is the security baseline — Defender, MFA, Conditional Access, backup, monitoring deployed in parallel to your existing setup. Week 3 is cutover — we take over support, your previous provider is paid out cleanly, and your team's day-to-day does not change.
What does the free 30-minute IT review include?
A 30-minute phone or video call with a senior AyeTech engineer. We review your current IT setup, what your existing provider is doing well, where the gaps are, and what proper management would change. Written summary. Transparent quote. Zero sales pressure.
Do I need to give notice to my current IT provider before talking to you?
No. The conversation is free and confidential. Most businesses we work with have not given notice when we first speak. We will help you read your current contract, identify the notice period, and time the switch so it costs nothing extra.
What is your pricing?
$149 per user per month for Essential, $199 for Professional, $299 for Enterprise. AUD, ex GST. No setup fees on 12-month agreements. Pricing held for the term of the agreement.
What if my current contract is locked in?
Most managed IT contracts have a defined termination clause. We help you identify it, advise on the cleanest exit, and align our onboarding with your existing notice period. We do not start charging until we are actively managing your environment.
Do you take over our existing tools or rip and replace?
We take over what works and replace what does not. Microsoft 365 Business Premium is the standard we run for 20-50 person businesses, plus Microsoft Defender, Entra ID Conditional Access, Microsoft 365 backup, our RMM tooling, and standard documentation. If your existing antivirus, backup or RMM is sub-standard, we replace it. If your existing M365 tenant just needs tuning, we tune it.
Are you Australian-owned?
Yes. AYE TECHNOLOGIES PTY LTD trading as AyeTech, ABN 70 643 554 438. Australian-owned, Australian helpdesk, Australian engineers. Mon-Fri 8am-6pm AEST plus 24/7 critical-issue cover.
